What Documents are Required to Apply for NSFAS in 2024?

UNISA Students can receive a grant of up to $2,000

The amount you receive after approval is shown below.

  • Grant money of Rs.2900 is available if you have registered for NSFAS in more than 10 modules.
  • For the first 4 modules, there is a R600 grant for learning material.

Scholarships For Students at University

You will receive the following amount for students in normal classes:

  • The R7500 annual grant is for students who reside 40 km away from an university.
  • The expenses will be covered for private accommodations.
  • Your living costs can be covered by R15000 annually.
  • You can receive R2900 annually as a care allowance.
  • Receive R5200 as an annual book allowance.

TVET College Students Can Get Grant Money

The money you receive as a TVET-college student is:

  • The Urban Area Grant is R24000 per annum.
  • You can get R18900 as a Periurban Area Allowance.
  • You can get R15750 as a rural area allowance per year.
  • Transportation Allowance (R7350): If you live more than 40km away, this allowance is for you.
  • Per year, you can receive R900 for personal care.
