You must be a South African citizen, have permanent residence, refugee status or hold an exemption permit from programs like the Special Angolan Dispensation (SAD), Lesotho Exemption Permit Dispensation and Zimbabwe Exemption Permit Dispensation to qualify. You can also qualify for asylum if you have a section 22 visa or permit.
6. You must register with Sassa Social Security or the Department of Home Affairs if you don’t have an ID document.
7. Benefits National Student Financial Aid Scheme and Unemployment Insurance Fund should not provide you with any assistance.
